TAHU TV brings you the forth season of Waka Reo.
In this series we join 6 strangers, strand them on a remote South Island marae, give them a new Maori name and throw down the ultimate language challenge – learn to speak Maori better than your rivals and win the ALAC $10,000 prize.

The journey begins as 6 strangers make their way to a remote marae, compete to learn Maori and win $10,000.

It’s a test of wits, strength and stamina as 5 contestants battle to learn Te Reo Maori and earn themselves $10,000 – but is everyone playing fair……?
Episode 4 – Sunday 27 July 8pm
The pressure is building as our 4 contestants take their Te Reo learning in another direction. How hard can it be to remember left from right? Harder than you might think when there is $10,000 up for grabs.
Episode 5 – Sunday 3 August 8pm
Tempers flare and personalities clash as the reality of living side by side on the marae hits home.

It’s been a hard road for the two remaining contestants and they are just one more challenge away from emerging victorious. We take a look back at the 4 hopefuls who have fallen by the wayside.
Episode 7 – Sunday 17 August 8pm
The pressure peaks at last. High on a west coast glacier, our two final contestants must focus their entire knowledge of Te Reo. Only one will talk their way into $10,000…..
